SR 906 SR 908

State Road 907, also known as Alton Road and 63rd Street, is a major north–south artery in Miami Beach, Florida, USA. It is one of a few of the Florida State Roads that have both termini on the same state route. In this case, the northern terminus is the intersection of 63rd Street and Collins Avenue (SR A1A), and the southern terminus is the intersection of Alton Road and Fifth Street (also SR A1A). Motorists from Miami can use a flyover from the left turn lane on SR A1A to enter SR 907.

Alton Road snakes up the western (Biscayne Bay) side of the barrier islands comprising Miami Beach while Collins Avenue parallels the Atlantic shore to the east.

Originally State Road 945, SR 907 connects commercial and residential districts in the south to hospitals and golf courses in the north. Mount Sinai Medical Center and Miami Heart Institute are adjacent to SR 907, as are La Gorce Country Club and Bayshore Golf Course. The westernmost end of Lincoln Road Mall, one of America's first open-air pedestrian shopping centers, is also next to the state highway. In addition, SR 907 is often used as a bypass for the oft-congested SR A1A.

Alton Road is the main westside north-south street located 1-3 blocks from Biscayne Bay. On the part that traverses South Beach, the road is host to many local businesses, including dry cleaners, small furniture stores, small grocery markets, non-chain restaurants and fast food restaurants. It is mainly residential once it crosses Michigan Avenue north of South Beach. The fictional character and protagonist from the first three games of the series Driv3r, Officer Tanner, lived on a fictional cul-de-sac, that spurs off Alton Road.

State Road 907A

Upon completion of State Road 112 (Interstate 195) in 1961, a bypass section of Alton Road near Mount Sinai Medical Center was constructed for direct access between the hospital and the limited access highway. When the Florida Department of Transportation incorporated Miami-Dade County streets into their numbering system in 1980, the connection to SR 112/I-195 was designated SR 945 and the branch of Alton Road that ran through a nearby residential neighborhood was designated State Road 945A. Three years later, SR 945 became SR 907 and SR 945A became State Road 907A.

While motorists going westbound on SR 112 see trailblazer signs for SR 907A (one noting "JCT 907A" and two directional trailblazers a half block from Alton Road), those are the only indications of the mile long stretch of the north–south thoroughfare being a state route. The two branches of Alton Road (both SR 907 and 907A) rejoin 0.4-mile (0.64 km) south of the eastern terminus of I-195.
